BEST has numerous outfitted hand soldering and training centers in Chicago, IL and Lansing, MI. Our home office is in Chicago but we can accommodate your training requirements in the Midwest and South if you would like to come to one of these training centers.

The benefits of going to one of these training centers:

These training centers "have it all" in terms of. These training centers keep you focused on the training by getting out of the office for a short period of time. These training centers allow you to interact with others in the industry. This provides for the richest classroom experience. These training centers provide for the greatest fixed class schedules as they are frequented often.
  2. At your facility

BEST can be your outsourced solder workforce training provider if your existing trainer/s are too busy or if you are in the midst of hiring a new trainer. We are always there and available for re-certifications or new company employee training. You can provide the training materials or we can ship them to the location. For IPC classes we will need a projector, WIFI and soldering equipment (for skills classes) that is suitable for the training at hand.

The benefits of having the solder workforce training at your facility:

This option allows you to either use your equipment or ours.. We teach methods and do not focus on "equipment specific" training. We do not sell ANY equipment and therefore do not have any vested interested outside of providing the best possible training experience. This type of training allows you to keep any confidentiality concerns within your company. We can also train at military establishments.

  3. BEST Mobile training center can come to you

BEST Inc. has available a mobile training center. This is a customized 18-wheeler that pulls up to your plant, plugs in to plant power (or we rent a generator) and then the training can begin. Students are kept comfortable in the environment and have access to the latest in soldering equipment including but not limited to stereo microscopes, flatscreen displays for demos and fume extraction equipment. We can train either the IPC J-STD-001 or the IPC7711/21 in the mobile training lab.

  4. The benefits of using the Mobile Training Center

This is the best of both worlds if you have several people form the same company or entity requiring training as the students do not have to travel yet are "sequestered" in the MTC in order to stay focused on the training.

We bring all of the equipment so you do not have specific training equipment or a specific training area. This type of training allows you to keep any confidentiality concerns within your company. We can also bring the mobile training center to military establishments. This can reduce the travel expenses if there are a lot of students.

  5. Training On-line

Some of these classes (call BEST for specific class details) with IPC online training and testing. While this cannot be done for the hands-on skill-based classes like the IPC-J-STD-001 or the IPC 7711/21 it can be done for discrimination skills testing like the IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 and the IPC-A-600.

The benefits of this type of solder workforce  training:

No travel expenses. This may be the best option if there are multiple shifts of operation requiring personnel training.

  6. Training be done at a local hotel or training site

There are cases where there is no room at the plant location for a training room-let’s face it floor space is expensive, especially if it is not frequently used. We can bring our materials to a local hotel.
