IPC J-STD-001 Recertification for Instructor 

This is a 2-day review course is for anyone needing to renew their existing IPC J-STD-001 CIT certification. Attendees will review the J-STD-001 standard and successfully complete both the closed and open book exams including lead and lead free soldering workmanship in order to renew their IPC J-STD-001 Instructor certification. This class, and the speed at which the material is reviewed, assumes the instructor uses the J-STD-001 in their professional lives often. Every 24 months a recertification of some type is is required.

DAY 1

Intro and course overview
Review of general requirements of J-STD-001
Review of material, equipment, general soldering and material requirements
Reviewing of cleaning process requirements
Review of wire and terminal assembly requirements
Review of wire and terminal soldering
Review of throughhole mounting and terminations
Review of SMT requirements for soldering and assembly
Review of product quality assurance.

DAY 2

Hand soldering skills testing
Review of CQI-test taking and administration of the program
Open Book Exam
Closed Book Exam.
